TU Security releases Campus Crimewatch in order to heighten awareness on campus. Incidents are listed in chronological order with the most recent events first. If you have any information regarding any of these incidents, please contact TU Security at 918 631 5555. For purposes of reporting accuracy and timeliness, a day is specified as 12:01am to 12:00am. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

January 24, 2010
Daily Activity Report

Campus Incidents

Report Number: 050-10
Location: John Mabee Hall
Time: 11:45 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of larceny from John Mabee Hall. A student had been in the kitchen and left his laptop computer behind. When he returned to look for it, it was missing. There are no suspects at this time and an investigation is pending. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Report Number: 036-10
Location: McFarlin Library
Time: 9:30 A.M. (Reported 19 Jan 2010)
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of larceny from McFarlin Library. A student had been studying in a common area and left her wallet when she stepped out for a short time. Upon her return the wallet had been taken. There are no suspects at this time and an investigation is pending. A copy of this report has been sent to Student Affairs for their review.

Following up on the incident: While reviewing cameras for McFarlin Library, a camera malfunction prevents viewing the room where the incident occurred and no suspects can be identified.

Campus Incidents

Report Number: 046-10
Location: Lafortune Hall
Time: 12:10 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of underage drinking in Lafortune Hall. Alcohol that was in the possession of the underage student was confiscated and the student turned over to Housing. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Report Number: 047-10
Location: Intersection of 8th St. and Delaware Ave.
Time: 5:15 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security responded to a single car accident at the intersection of 8th St. and Delaware Ave. The car, driven by a student, had damaged the fire hydrant located at the intersection. It appears alcohol may have played a role and the student was underage. Tulsa Police was contacted. No arrest was made and the student was turned over to Housing. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: John Mabee Hall
Time: 8:15 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security responded to a fire alarm in John Mabee Hall. After the building had been evacuated, it was discovered there was no fire. A resident had used an excessive amount of air freshener. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: USA West Apartments
Time: 10:50 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security executed a party shutdown in the USA West apartments due to the fact that the apartment residents were not present in the apartment. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Report Number: 051-10
Location: USA West Apartments
Time: 10:50 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: During the party shutdown reported in 049-10 above, a student, who had been present at the party, became argumentative with the Officers because he was not allowed to leave with beer he says was his. The Officers had prohibited anyone to leave with anything because the registered tenants were not present to account for their belongings. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: Intersection of 8th St. and Gary Ave.
Time: 12:50 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security took a report involving a vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of 8th St. and Gary Ave. A student owned vehicle and a WFF Club Cart were involved. A copy of this report has been sent to the Business Office and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: Lafortune Hall/Honors House
Time: 10:40 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of underage drinking in the Honors House and Lafortune Hall. Alcohol that was in the possession of the underage students was confiscated and the students turned over to Housing. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Synopsis of Incident: Security executed a party shutdown in Mayo Village Apartments due to Quiet Hours. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: Twin South
Time: 9:48 A.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of larceny from Twin South. A student had been studying in a common area and left his laptop computer while he went to breakfast. Upon his return the laptop had been taken. There are no suspects at this time and an investigation is pending. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing and Student Affairs for their review.

Location: Reynolds Center
Time: 1:30 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: Security received a report of larceny from the Reynolds Center. An employee reported that a jacket had been taken from an office. There are no suspects at this time and an investigation is pending. A copy of this report has been sent to Athletics and the Business Office for their review.

Report Number: 029-10
Location: USA West Apartments
Time: 6:45 P.M.
Synopsis of Incident: On 19 Jan 2010, the victim of Report 029-10 dated 18 Jan 2010 reported another incidence of an obscene phone call from the same person. Security Officers called the number and identified a student who admitted to making the calls. A copy of this report has been sent to Housing, Student Affairs and International Student Services for their review.
